Bester and Peterson Go 2–3 in Ironwood; Moras Shows Progress in Sport Debut

Longville, MN (December 16, 2025) — The 2025–2026 Snocross season roared to life this past weekend at Mt. Zion Ski Hill in Ironwood, MI. With a rare abundance of early-season snow and two full days of racing, teams and fans were treated to an energetic and competitive start to the new season. For Team LaVallee, the weekend delivered momentum, milestones, and a strong foundation to build upon.

PRO CLASS — FRIDAY (ROUND 1) & SATURDAY (ROUND 2) RECAP

Friday marked the official return to Pro competition, with both riders showing speed and determination right out of the gate. Ryley Bester opened the season with solid starts and consistent results, finishing 6th and 3rd in his heats to secure a front-row spot in the final. Adam Peterson displayed strong pace as well, though contact in both of his qualifying rounds led to off-track troubles that limited his results to 7th and 5th. In the evening final, Bester launched inside the top five while Peterson charged forward from the back row. The teammates swapped positions mid-race before a late off sent Bester to the back of the pack, reshuffling the running order. Peterson carried his momentum to a 6th-place finish, while Bester regrouped and finished out the race after the incident. The night delivered valuable early-season laps and clear signs of speed for both riders.

Saturday brought brutally cold weather, dense snow dust, and a major shift in momentum for the team — highlighted by Bester earning the first Pro Heat Win of his career and both riders landing on the podium in the final. Peterson opened the day with a gritty ride to 4th after being pinched off the start in his first heat, while Bester rebounded from early contact to take 5th. Round Two delivered the performances of the weekend: Bester rocked out of the gates on his Team LaVallee, Polaris, Red Bull sled, grabbing the Stud Boy Holeshot Award and rode one of his strongest heats to date, earning an impressive 1st-place finish — a defining milestone in his young Pro career. Peterson followed with a massive holeshot that earned him the Stud Boy Holeshot Award, holding off a stacked field for the entire qualifier to secure a commanding Heat Win of his own. In the Saturday final, Peterson once again rocketed to the holeshot — his second Stud Boy award of the night — with Bester immediately behind him. The teammates traded positions through the opening lap before settling into a fast, composed rhythm. Bester powered his way to an outstanding 2nd-place finish, while Peterson held strong for 3rd, giving Team LaVallee a double podium to cap off the Ironwood weekend and deliver one of the team’s strongest season starts in recent years.

SPORT CLASS — CODY MORAS

In the Sport class, rookie rider Cody Moras made his debut with a weekend full of learning and encouraging progress against a deep and competitive field. Friday brought tough breaks as Moras battled through challenging qualifying rounds but narrowly missed transferring into the Sport Final. With a reset mindset on Saturday, he delivered a much more confident performance, earning a pair of 5th-place finishes in his heats. In the LCQ, Moras fought hard and missed the final by just one position, closing out the night early but showing clear improvement and resilience. His step forward from Friday to Saturday reflects a strong foundation for the season ahead.
