Peterson Lands on the Podium as Team LaVallee Closes Out the 2026 Season Finale in Duluth



Longville, MN  — Tuesday, April 7th, 2026 — Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minnesota, has been the proud host of the Snocross Nationals for over three decades, and once again served as the thrilling stage for the final race of the 2025–2026 Snocross National Race Season. This year’s finale delivered true Midwestern grit, as a late-season snowstorm blanketed the region and set the scene for an unforgettable championship showdown. Known for its challenging terrain, the course featured one of the longest tracks ever built in Duluth, complete with towering uphills, steep downhills, demanding rhythm sections, and spectacular jumps—pushing riders to their limits and keeping fans on the edge of their seats. The action-packed, two-day weekend provided a bar-to-bar conclusion to the 2025–2026 Snocross season.



FRIDAY PRO ROUND 15

Friday night racing kicked off at Spirit Mountain under classic Midwestern conditions, as fresh snowfall set the stage for an exciting start to the final weekend of the 2025–2026 Snocross season.

ROUND 1

Heat 1 – Adam Peterson

Peterson launched off the line into the 2nd-place position and immediately set his sights on the leader. Riding a consistent and controlled race, he held off pressure from behind and secured a strong 2nd-place finish.


Heat 2 – Ryley Bester

Bester started mid-pack and rode a smart, smooth race, navigating traffic effectively to bring home a solid 5th-place finish.


ROUND 2

Heat 1 – Ryley Bester  and Adam Peterson

Ripping out of the gates for Pro Round 2 Heat 1, Adam Peterson earned the Studboy Holeshot Award aboard his Team LaVallee, Polaris, Red Bull sled, while Bester followed closely behind in 3rd. As the field shuffled through the opening lap, Peterson settled into 2nd and Bester into 4th. Both riders charged hard and maintained their positions, finishing with Peterson in 2nd and Bester in 4th.



Round 15 PRO FINAL

As the final race of the night took center stage at Spirit Mountain, the Pro field lined up for an intense battle to close out Friday’s action.


Peterson & Bester: As the green flag flew, Adam Peterson ripped out of the gates earning him the Stud Boy Holeshot Award with Bester beginning mid-pack. After the first lap reshuffled the field, Peterson settled into 4th while Bester moved back to 12th after a tough off. Bester was able to safely reenter the race and continued pushing forward. Around the halfway point, Peterson was charging hard when he had a tough off, that caused him to drop back several positions. In the closing minutes of the Round 15 Final, Peterson finished out in the 8th-place position, while Bester charged through the field to secure a 10th-place finish.

SATURDAY PRO ROUND 16

As the snow continued to fall and Lake Superior stretching across the background, Round 16—the final race day of the season—delivered classic winter conditions that promised to test riders’ skill and endurance while putting on an unforgettable show for fans.


ROUND 1

Heat 1 – Ryley Bester and Adam Peterson

Kicking off Pro racing for the night, Bester and Peterson lined up together in the same heat. Both riders launched strong out of the gates and maintained smooth, controlled rides through the field. Peterson led the charge with a 3rd-place finish, with Bester close behind in 4th.


ROUND 2

Heat 1 – Ryley Bester

Aboard his Team LaVallee, Polaris, Red Bull sled Bester earned the Studboy Holeshot Award, launching out front to lead the field in Round 2. Riding smart, smooth lines and maintaining control throughout the race, Bester held strong to secure a 1st-place finish.


Heat 2 – Adam Peterson

In Round 2: Heat 2 - Peterson also earned the Studboy Holeshot Award in his heat, quickly putting himself in position at the front of the pack. After an intense battle for the lead, Peterson made the pass from second and powered his way to a 1st-place finish.



Round 16 PRO FINAL

Peterson qualified 2nd and Bester 4th heading into the final race of the 2026 season. At the drop of the gate, Peterson ripped out of the gates, earning another Studboy Holeshot Award, while Bester quickly positioned himself inside the top five. As the field settled in through the opening lap, Peterson slipped back to 3rd and Bester to 8th. At the halfway mark, positions shifted once again, with Peterson falling back to 5th while Bester continued to charge forward, moving up to 7th.


As the race progressed, Peterson found another gear and pushed himself up into the 3rd-place position. When the checkered flag flew, Peterson secured a 3rd-place podium finish, while Bester rounded out the evening with a strong 7th-place finish.


Congratulations to Adam Peterson on his 3rd-place podium finish to close out the 2026 season.


As the final race concluded and season points were tallied, Team LaVallee riders Peterson and Bester finished the year tied with 433 points, placing Peterson 6th overall and Bester 7th overall in the Pro standings for the 2026 season.

ROOKIE SPORT - CODY MORAS

In the Sport class, Rookie rider, Cody Moras delivered another strong performance during Friday’s racing in Duluth. Moras, earning a Stud Boy Holeshot Award, posted impressive qualifying results with 3rd and 2nd place finishes, earning the 5th gate pick for the Sport Final.


In the Sport Final Friday night, Moras ripped out of the gates into the 3rd-place position and immediately put himself in podium contention. Battling back and forth through the field, he held strong in a solid 3rd-place position late in the race. A last-lap pass ultimately shuffled positions, with Moras finishing out a hard-fought 4th-place finish at Spirit Mountain.


Saturday’s final day of racing in Duluth. Moras, earning again a Study Boy Holeshot award, posted strong qualifying results with 5th and 2nd place finishes, securing a coveted front-row starting position for the Sport Final. Off the line, Moras launched into 4th and quickly moved into the 3rd-place position within the first few turns. While pushing to gain another spot, Moras experienced a hard crash but was able to safely re-enter the race and continue charging forward. Showing grit and perseverance, Moras worked his way back through the field to finish an impressive 8th-place finish in the season finale. Overall, Moras concluded the 2026 season with a strong 7th-place finish in the Rookie Sport points standings.
