Longville, MN — Wednesday, June 10, 2026 — After over a decade with Team LaVallee, longtime rider Adam Peterson has announced his retirement from professional Snocross racing, closing a memorable chapter filled with growth, grit, championship moments and a lasting impact on the Team LaVallee family.
Known by many as AP3, Peterson’s journey with Team LaVallee began as a young Sport Lite rider with big potential, a strong work ethic, bold confidence and a competitive edge that quickly stood out. From those early days, the team had the privilege of watching Adam grow through the ranks — not only becoming a championship-caliber athlete, but also becoming a teammate, leader and friend.

“Adam is one of those guys who became more than just a rider for us,” said Levi LaVallee. “We’ve been through a lot together over the years — big wins, tough weekends, cold race days and a lot of laughs.” Watching him grow into the rider and person he is today has been really special. We’re proud of him, we’re excited for his next chapter and we’re definitely going to miss AP3.
Peterson’s career with Team LaVallee included several defining milestones. He rose through Sport and Pro Lite competition and captured the 2021 Pro Lite Championship, a breakout season that featured consistency, podium finishes and the kind of composure that showed he was ready for the next level. That same year, Peterson added another major career highlight by winning the AMSOIL Dominator, proving he could compete head-to-head with some of the strongest riders in the sport.

After moving into the Pro class, Peterson continued to build his reputation as one of Snocross racing’s most respected competitors. He earned podium finishes, battled among the best in the sport and delivered a career-defining moment with his first Pro win at Eagle River. That victory marked a major milestone for Peterson and Team LaVallee, celebrating years of hard work, persistence and belief.
In 2025, Peterson wrapped up one of the strongest seasons of his career, finishing 3rd overall in the Pro standings and earning recognition as the top American rider. His smooth riding style, smart racecraft and ability to stay composed under pressure made him a threat every time he lined up at the gate.
But for Team LaVallee, Adam’s legacy reaches far beyond race results. Over the years, Peterson became part of the fabric of the team — someone who showed up ready to work, ready to improve and ready to represent Team LaVallee, Polaris, Red Bull and all team partners with professionalism and pride. From the highs of championships and podiums to the tough weekends that tested everyone, AP3 handled each moment with humility and heart.

“Adam wasn’t just a rider in our trailer— he became family,” said Levi LaVallee. “We’ve been lucky to watch him grow from a young racer chasing his dream into a standout professional athlete and an even better person. That’s what makes this one tough. We’re excited for his next chapter, but we’re sure going to miss having Adam with us every weekend.”
Along with Adam, Team LaVallee also wants to recognize Brad, Adam’s longtime mechanic and one of the people who has stood by his side throughout his career. From the race weekends to the big wins and everything in between, Brad has been a steady part of Adam’s journey and an important part of the Team LaVallee family. We’re grateful for everything he has given to Adam and the team, and we’re going to miss having him under the tent as well.
Peterson’s retirement marks the end of an era for him at Team LaVallee, but also the beginning of a new chapter for a rider who has given so much to the sport. His accomplishments, character and presence will leave a lasting mark on the team and the Snocross community.
Team LaVallee extends its deepest congratulations and gratitude to Adam Peterson for his dedication, loyalty and unforgettable years presenting our team.
Thank you, AP3. We are proud of you, excited for what comes next and grateful to have been part of the ride.
