Longville, MN (January 7, 2014) – This past weekend Team LaVallee was ringing in the new year with Rounds 5 and 6 of the ISOC Snocross Series held at Canterbury Race Park in Shakopee, Minnesota. Canterbury Race Park has been noted as Pro rider, Levi LaVallee’s favorite stop on the ISOC circuit because of the big air and the awesome crowd that comes out year-after-year. The cold temps throughout he upper mid-west did not stop the die-hard snocross fans from coming out to catch the racing action.
With great success at the Duluth and Bessemer Nationals, Team LaVallee was eager to get back onto the track and carry that momentum into the Shakopee National. Team LaVallee’s Pro Rider, Kyle Pallin (who was sitting second in Pro Points) went into the weekend with podium on his mind. On Friday, Pallin was able to secure his spot in the front row of the Pro Open Round 5 Final. Off of the line, Pallin came out towards the front of the pack, with two unfortunate offs throughout the 14-lap final, Pallin pushed through and finished an awesome 5th place. On Saturday, all riders were ripping great hole shots and qualified into the front row for their respective finals. In Pro Lite, Andy Lieders had a great weekend of qualifying, but when it came down to the finals, Lieders struggled off of the line and wasn’t able to finish as strong as he would have liked. Pro Rider, Kyle Pallin suffered a hard crash Saturday afternoon in the Pro Open Round 2 after being nudged by another rider. Pallin was rushed to a nearby hospital and was discharged later that evening with a level 2 concussion. Pro Riders, Jake Scott and Levi LaVallee were able to round out the weekend with both finishing within the top 10 Saturday night at Canterbury Race Park.
The Team is headed west for the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado, January 23-26th and will return to the ISOC Snocross circuit following the X Games, January 31-February 1st in Deadwood, SD.
“Canterbury was a tough weekend for our Team. We had some high points, with our hole-shots and great qualifying but it’s never good seeing a fellow rider get hurt. Luckily, Kyle is bouncing back from his concussion and progressing each day. We are looking forward to getting out to Colorado to do some testing for X Games and hopefully bring home some more medals.” – Levi LaVallee (Co-Owner/Racer, Team LaVallee)
