Longville, MN (March 9, 2021) - A schedule change in the ACS National Snocross Series led everyone back to where to the 2021 season began, at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, MN for Snocross Rounds 11 and 12. The crew at ERX and Snocross created a huge track that consisted of big air, steep and deep whoops, and sweeping turns; a track that created incredible racing over the 2 day National in Elk River, Minnesota.
PRO / PALLIN
Team LaVallee’s Pro Rider and series Fan Favorite, Kyle Pallin was eager to get back to racing after a Pro Win in Round 9 in Sioux Falls. Pallin started the 2 Day National with good qualifying rounds, earning a 6th and 3rd place allowing Pallin to be the 8th qualifier for the Pro Round 11 Final, Friday Night. Off of the line of the Pro Final, Pallin had a tough start and found himself in the 12 place position. With great determination, Pallin continued to charge his way up and was sitting in the 8th place spot. With 2 minutes left in the 10 Minute plus 2 Lap final, Pallin an unfortunate off and with caution, the race was Red Flagged, allowing the FXR Mobile Medical Team to properly and safely help get Pallin off to the track and get him the medical attention he needed quickly. Pallin was transported to a near-by ER where he underwent CT Scans and it was determined that Pallin did suffer from a Concussion. His Scans came back clear and under doctors ruling was told to not race Saturday. Pallin did not race the remainder of the weekend, however he did line up and do starts on Saturday. Pallin is expected to be able to race the remainder of the season.
PRO LITE / PETERSON
Team LaVallee's Pro Lite Rider and current Pro Lite Points Leader, Adam Peterson was ready for Round 11 & 12 in Elk River. Peterson started out the 2 Day National taking a win and a 2nd place finish in his respective qualifying rounds. Under the lights Friday night, Peterson came out with a mid-pack start in the 9th place spot. Peterson continued to ride aggressively and find smooth lines and at the half way mark he worked his way up to the 5th place spot. With 3 laps to go Peterson passed up to 3rd. Peterson continued to charge hard and on the last turn before the checked flags flew, Peterson used a sweeping move to pass into the incredible 2nd place spot!! Congrats Adam!
On Saturday, for Round 12, Peterson started the day out swinging, with winning both of his qualifying rounds and was the number one qualifier for the Pro Lite Final, Saturday night. Off of the line for the Round 12 Pro Lite Final, Peterson ripped the hole shot and rode a clean and consistent 13 lap final, earning him a 1st Place Finish and a perfect day of racing. This was Peterson’s 8th podium finish of the 2021 season
Peterson is the current points leader in the Pro Lite Championship battle. Congrats Adam!
PRO LITE / BESTER
Pro Lite Rider, Ryley Bester started out the Elk River National with a 7th and 1st place finish in his respective qualifying rounds and secured a spot in the Pro Lite Round 11 back row. Under the lights, Friday night, Bester came out towards the back of the pack and pushed hard throughout the 13 lap final, rounding out the Round 11 Pro Lite Final in the 10th place spot.
On Saturday, for Round 12, Bester was looking for redemption. Bester started Day 2 of racing with great qualifying rounds, taking a 3rd and a win, which allowed him a nice gate pick for the Pro Lite Round 12 Final. Off of the line and into the first turn of the Round 12 Pro Lite Final, Bester got tangled up with another sled, causing him and his Polaris, Red Bull, Walker Evans Racing snowmobile to be flipped upside down and was ultimately pushed towards the back of the pack. Bester still managed to get back up and finish the Pro Lite Round 12 Final in the 14th place spot.
PRO AM PLUS 30 / LIEDERS
Pro AM Plus 30 rider, Andy Lieders had another great weekend of racing and was ripping awesome hole shots all throughout his qualifiers and finals. Lieders signed up to race in the Pro class on Friday night. Lieders had awesome qualifying taking a 2nd and a 6th place, securing himself in the front row of the Pro Round 11 Final. Lieders had a great start off of the line of the Pro Final, and continued to charge hard through the the 10 Minute plus 2 Lap final and finished in the notable 10th place spot Friday night.
On Saturday, in Pro AM Plus 30, Lieders had another perfect day of racing, with taking 1st place in both of his qualifier rounds and taking the win in the Pro AM Plus 30 Final.
Lieders is the current points leader in the Pro AM Plus 30 Championship battle. Congrats Andy!
