Team LaVallee Battles Through Chaos and Contact in Valcourt šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦šŸ



Longville, MN (February 17, 2026) – The Grand Prix Ski-Doo de ValcourtĀ hosted Rounds 7 and 8 of the National Snocross Series this weekend, marking the third consecutive season the championship has visited Valcourt, Quebec. With the Pro, Pro Lite, and Pro Women divisions on deck, fans were treated to two full days of high-flying, high-intensity racing action as the series hit the halfway point of the season.



PRO Round 7 Recap

Round 1

Heat 1 Adam Peterson lined up for the first race in Valcourt and launched into contention, settling into the top five off the start. He stayed patient through the eight-lap qualifier, applying pressure late and making a decisive pass in the closing laps to secure a strong third-place finish. Ryley Bester also came off the line inside the top five, holding steady pace and maintaining position through traffic to finish fifth in a consistent opening heat performance.


Round 2

Heat 1 Peterson grabbed another solid start, positioning himself inside the top three through the first corners before settling into fifth. He maintained steady speed and managed the race cleanly to bring home another fifth-place result.


Heat 2Ā Bester launched off of the line and entered the race running fourth, battling hard for a podium position. Despite pressure from behind and multiple line changes in search of an advantage, he held his ground and crossed the line in fourth.


Round 7 Final

Both riders rocketed off the gate in the 10-minute plus one lap final and were immediately in the mix. In the opening stretch of jumps, Peterson’s ski made contact with another rider, sending him end-over-end. He was able to walk away uninjured, but the incident brought an early end to his final. Bester avoided the early chaos and began working his way forward but contact with another competitor caused an unfortunate off for him, but he remounted and continued pushing to salvage an 11th-place finish.

PRO Round 8 Recap

With Round 7 behind them, Bester and Peterson came into Sunday searching for redemption. Fast laps in practice showed promising speed as Team LaVallee looked to capitalize at the halfway point of the season.


Round 1

Heat 1 Adam Peterson was pinched off the start and forced toward the back of the pack. With eight laps to work with, he methodically began climbing forward. With two laps remaining, Peterson had worked his way up to sixth, and a last-corner crash ahead opened the door for him to capitalize and secure a fifth-place finish.

Heat 2 Ryley Bester launched off the line aboard his Team LaVallee Polaris Red Bull sled, earning the Stud Boy Holeshot Award and taking the early lead into the first lap. After briefly shuffling back to second, Bester continued changing lines and applying pressure in search of the lead. As the laps wound down, he maintained strong pace and crossed the line with an impressive second-place finish.


Round 2

Heat 1 Peterson after a questionable jump on the line from another rider, Peterson positioned himself in third through the opening laps. As the race progressed and positions shuffled, he maintained consistent speed and brought home a fifth-place result.


Heat 2 Bester once again earned the Stud Boy Holeshot Award, rocketing out of the gates and into the lead. After being passed for the top position, he aggressively pushed to reclaim it. With two laps remaining, heavy contact from another rider sent Bester down in a corner. He quickly remounted and salvaged a sixth-place finish.


ROUND 8 FINAL

Ryley Bester qualified eighth, earning a front-row start, while Peterson lined up on the back row. At the drop of the gate in the 10-minute plus one lap final, Bester quickly positioned himself inside the top five, while Peterson worked forward into 11th early in the race. At the halfway mark, Bester battled between fifth and sixth as Peterson slipped toward the back of the field after a late race off. Bester ultimately crossed the line in sixth, with Peterson finishing 12th.
