Longville, MN (December 17, 2019) - When the unthinkable happened two weeks ago at the Snocross Season Opener in Duluth, MN and the first two rounds of racing were cancelled due to too much snow - we had some makeup homework to do in Fargo. Stop number two on the 2019/2020 National Snocross tour brought us back to a familiar location, Buffalo River Race Park just outside of Fargo, ND. BRRP was the home to rounds 3 and 4 of Snocross Racing and also Round 1 of the Duluth National make up race. With 3 Days of racing scheduled for the Fargo National, both the teams and the racers had their work cut out for them as bitterly cold temps, and whiteout snow conditions were a constant threat throughout the 3-Day National.
PRO / PALLIN
On Friday of the Fargo National, Kyle Pallin came out of the gates swinging when his Team LaVallee, Polaris, Red Bull sled came screaming off of the line and securing Pallin's 1st place spot in Round 1 of Pro qualifying. In the 16 Lap Pro Final on Friday, Pallin had a great start and was towards the front of the pack and even with the hard visibility and snow-dust factor Pallin finished in the impressive 6th place spot.
For Saturday, Pallin had yet another 1st place heat race finish and was eager for the Saturday Round 4 Final. As the daylight diminished and the snow-dust was continually getting worse, the visibility track-side was near whiteout conditions. As the green flag waved and the 15-lap Pro final was underway, Pallin had a tough tangle with another rider which ended Pallin's final quickly and finished in the 15th place spot.
On Sunday, Round 1 - Duluth Makeup Race, the bitter cold was still present but the snow dust was less and visibility was better. Pallin had good qualifying rounds and had a nice spot on the line for the 22-lap Pro Final. Pallin had a mid-pack start and a tough off caused him to be pushed back to nearly last place, but Pallin pressed on and finished with an 8th place Sunday afternoon.
Pallin is currently sitting in 8th place overall in the Pro Points Standings.
PRO LITE / PETERSON
Adam Peterson's race weekend ended quickly when a bother to his knee occurred in his first heat race on Friday. Peterson was advised by the FXR Mobile Medical Team to get further testings done to evaluate the extent of the pain he was feeling and an MRI determined that Peterson will be out the remainder of the season due to a torn ACL and meniscus. We at Team LaVallee are wishing Peterson a quick and full recovery!
PRO LITE / BESTER
If you had to pick one word for Ryley Bester over the 3 Day National Race weekend, the word would be consistent. Bester had very impressive qualifying rounds throughout the weekend with a Heat win, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place finishes. In Bester's Pro Lite Finals, Friday night he placed 6th and Saturday and Sunday finals he finished in the awesome 5th place spot. Bester is currently sitting in 5th place overall in the Pro Lite Points Standings.
PRO LITE / DAUDT
Pro Lite Rider, Evan Daudt had an awesome weekend opener of racing. Daudt's strong qualifying rounds (which included a heat Win) allowed him into the front row of his Pro Lite Finals. Daudt's determination pushed his way through the tough visibility and finished 5th on Friday, and 8th & 7th on Saturday and Sunday. Daudt is currently sitting in 6th place overall in the Pro Lite Points Standings.
PRO AM PLUS 30 / LIEDERS
Pro AM Plus 30 Rider, Andy Lieders had a phenomenal weekend of racing. Taking the top of the Podium with a 1st place Finish on Saturday and 2nd Place Finish on Sunday and 4th place finish on Friday! ! Congrats Andy on an awesome weekend of racing! Lieders is currently sitting in 2nd place overall in the Pro AM PLUS 30 Points Standings.
"What a crazy weekend of racing. Between the cold, the wind, the snow dust, there were some pretty extreme conditions. We are leaving this weekend with a lot of positives and I am excited with the speed both the sleds and the riders had and I am confident that the results will come." - Levi LaVallee
