PALLIN IS BACK ON TRACK AT SNOCROSS OPENER IN DULUTH

Longville, MN – November 26, 2018 – This past Thanksgiving weekend marked the 27th Annual AMSOIL Duluth National Snocross CJ Ramstad Memorial Cup held at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minnesota. With colder-than-average temps leading up to the race weekend, the ISOC and Spirit Mountain crew were able to make more than enough snow, creating one of the largest track’s we’ve seen at Spirit Mountain featuring a technical and fun track that wowed the crowd over the 3-day race weekend.

FRIDAY / DULUTH DOMINATOR

The Amsoil Dominator race started things off on Friday night. A bracket-style format type of racing, where each rider was judged off their lap times in seeding to see whom they would match up against in Round 1, and from each race moving forward, the winner would continue on. Pro Rider, Kyle Pallin had some awesome lap times but missed his chances of advancing after being eliminated in Round 1. Team LaVallee’s Pro Lite Riders, Zak Mason, Evan Daudt, and Rookie Pro Lite rider, Adam Peterson also entered in the Dominator Race with a nothing-to-lose attitude and while they didn’t qualify through seeding, it allowed them all more track time and a chance to get on the track against the Pro Racers.

SATURDAY / SNOCROSS ROUND 1

Saturday was the opening day of the National Snocross Series Round 1 at Spirit Mountain. In Pro Lite, all riders were able to make it into the Pro Lite Final, Saturday evening with Mason and Peterson in the front row and Daudt in the back row of the stacked 15-racer final. All three riders finished one-after-another with Peterson taking 6th, Daudt in 7th, and Mason in 8th. Kyle Pallin had great qualifying and was in the front row of the Round 1 Pro Final, where he finished in the 8th place spot Saturday night.

SUNDAY / SNOCROSS ROUND 2

With the temperature changing from wet conditions Saturday to cold temps Sunday, the snow was sugary and the track was icy. Zak Mason ended his Sunday racing early when another rider landed on him, causing him to sit out for the rest of the racing for Round 2. Peterson and Daudt had good qualifying rounds but both weren’t able to make it into their respective Pro Lite Final Sunday afternoon. In Pro, Kyle Pallin qualified for the Pro Round 2 final in the front row and rode a strong race, ending out the Duluth National in the 6th place position. It’s great to see Pallin back on the track and healthy post-his neck injury from last season!

“The Duluth National is always one of my favorite races. It’s a time were you can get the nervous bugs out, make changes if anything is needed, and it overall just gets you amped up for the race season. There were highs and lows for our team but one thing I know, is that we are hungry … this team is hungry for more and I can’t wait for the next National in Jackson Hole, WY.” Owner, Levi LaVallee
